Student representatives from Wachirawit Chiang Mai, “WhatTheFilm,” are enhancing their filmmaking skills to step into the international film industry through the OFOS CINEBRIDGE11 project.

A team of 10 student representatives from Wachirawit School, Chiang Mai, under the name WhatTheFilm, was selected to participate in OFOS CineBridge11, a filmmaking skill development camp for high school students in Northern Thailand. The project was organized by Chulalongkorn University in collaboration with THACCA – Thailand Creative Culture Agency and Studio Commuan, with support from the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture. The camp took place on August 27–30, 2025, at Horizon Village & Resort.

This FilmCamp brought together 10 teams and 100 young talents from Northern Thailand to explore the art of short film production. The program was led by Chookiat Sakveerakul, renowned film director and President of the Thai Directors’ Association, along with a team of professional mentors . Over the course of four days and three nights, participants received intensive training and hands-on experience in filmmaking.

The students gained hands-on experience across all aspects of film production, both on-screen and behind the scenes. They learned to plan, solve problems, and operate professional filmmaking equipment under expert guidance. Each team was tasked with creating a complete short film within a limited timeframe, to be showcased at the camp’s closing day and later submitted to national-level competitions. Beyond technical skills, the camp also fostered teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, and broadened the students’ horizons—marking their first steps toward becoming future creative storytellers.
