States of Matter: Fostering Scientific Thinking
Students are constantly interacting with solids, liquids, and gases—whether it’s melting ice cream, spilling water, or inflating a balloon. Scientific vocabulary such as “solid,” “liquid,” and “gas” expands students’ language and helps them describe and understand the physical world around them.
